Iain Abernethy will be teaching an open seminar for us in Wokingham.
For those of you who have attended these seminars in the past, you will be aware of the quality tuition and entertaining presentation from Iain while providing a fascinating insight into the application of kata.
The theme for the day is the bunkai of Unsu and Enpi / Wanshu (no prior knowledge of the kata is needed). Both of these kata contain very distinctive and unusual motions (spins, leaps, shuffles, etc). However, the bunkai for those sequences is actually straight forward when understood. This seminar will therefore be useful to all karateka who wish to better understand how to “read” their kata! The seminar will run from 11am to 3pm and will take place at Luckley House School, Luckley Road, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 3EU. The cost of the seminar is £35 per person.
