About the Event

After our previous and popular sessions with Sensei Iain Abernethy, WSKA are pleased to welcome him back for a special masterclass.

In Shotokan the kata goes by the name Gankaku (“crane on a rock”) due to the distinctive one-legged postures in the second half of the kata. Some of the methods in the kata were integrated into the Pinan / Heian series by Anko Itosu. The kata contains escapes, gripping, strikes, locks, throws, postural disruption, strangles, etc. No prior knowledge of the kata is needed to attend the event.

£35 pp. Contact Sensei Gary leyshon to book on 07989 388191 or wgleyshon@gmail.com
